AUSTRIA – Hintertux: Advanced Skills and Aspirant Instructors

An early season week to hone your skills – whether to do a BASI course or for your own personal satisfaction.

LEVELS: 4 – 5
Skiing at Hinterux in November will be entirely on the glacier – usually already covered in good powder!
The glacier has the best variety and extent of terrain of any glacier in the Alps – an ideal venue for a week focussed on telemark technique and skills.
5 x half days of instruction/coaching – 6th day free!.
Coaching will cover carving, piste performance, steeps, bumps and off-piste (if conditions permit). On- and off- snow video analysis is available daily and small groups guaranteed.
A great opportunity for those who want their skiing to be as good as possible and for those going on to do BASI Telemark course – either the following week or later in the season.
The week will be run by John Eames, a current BASI Telemark Trainer.

ITALY – Cervinia: Advanced Skills and Aspirant Instructors

Advanced telemark skiing on all terrain. Master the skill! Seek the thrill!

LEVELS: 4 – 5
Cervinia, with the links to Zermatt, enjoys 350 kms of piste and huge amounts of off-piste in-between. A full range of terrain is available and glacier skiing guarantees good conditions all season.
Telemark coaching will focus on getting the most out of your skis, 'riding' your skis, using the edges, being well-centred over your skis and making strong, subtle, accurate movements for efficient skiing. We will be skiing steeps, 'deeps', moguls and off-piste as appropriate depending on snow conditions and group aspirations.
Groups will be small and you will benefit from expert personal attention and feedback – you will finish the week a better skier!
For aspiring instructors, coaching will be relevant and appropriate to the standards and expectations of BASI – the perfect training prior to your BASI course.
Also a week for those who simply enjoy the challenge & rewards of skiing better and better!
5 x half days of instruction/coaching – 6th day free! On- and off- snow video analysis is available daily.
The week will be run by John Eames, a current BASI Telemark Trainer.
