AUSTRIA – Obergurgl |
|
|

An excellent and extensive, though less-known, ski area – great skiing with an Austrian flavour!

LEVELS: 2 – 5
| |
As a high resort (1850m) Obergurgl has a well-deserved reputation for excellent and long-lasting snow. |
| |
With the linked Hochgurgl area, there is extensive skiing, with a good variety of runs, efficient uplift and not too many people. |
| |
The off-piste potential is huge, whether you are new to off-piste skiing or looking for steeper and deeper challenges – and it does'nt get 'skied out'! |
| |
5 x half days skiing (out of 6 days) telemark and ski instruction with plenty of 'free' skiing. |
| |
Suitable for most ability levels though those skiing 'blue' pistes and above will be able to make the most of the ski area. |
| |
Comfort, food and facilities at our hotel base are stunning – great value for money. |

SCOTLAND — Tartan Telemark |
|
|

Quality freeheel and telemark skiing instruction in Scotland, 2 or 3 day weekends.

LEVELS: 2 – 5
| |
Ski instruction for full days at Cairngorm or Lecht ski areas (weather and snow conditions depending). 'Pro rata' shorter instructing days if group sizes are small to ensure consistent ability groups. |
| |
Sort out those telemark turns before the Easter holidays or the Norwegian and Alpine touring season. |
| |
For Alpine skiers, to try, to 'see the light' and before committing to new equipment! |
| |
We know Scotland gets a mixed press but we have had some of our best days skiing there – honest! |
| |
As we are unable to guarantee suitable terrain and snow we would not recommend these weekends for those people new to any form of skiing. |
What people have said about previous
revious Tartan Telemark instruction weekends:

"Just want to say thanks for the Tartan Telemark weekend – I really enjoyed it – even the brown snow at the Lecht on Sunday! Please pass on my thanks to Gerry – he was an excellent instructor and I picked up quite a few tips from Paul as well."
A.H., February, 2004
"Just a quick note to say that the quality of instruction by both Roger (Palin) and Stefan (Janik) was superb on the Tartan Telemark course especially considering the weather on Sat. and Sun."
C.O., February, 2003

SPAIN – Celer |
|
|

'All Terrain' … with a Spanish twist!

LEVELS: 2 – 5

| |
Deep in the Spanish Pyrenees, Celer has that quietness and charm lost in so many of the big Alpine resorts. |
| |
The skiing is very well organised, with efficient uplift, great food(!) and lots of snow-making (just in case!) - an awful lot of skiing packed into a small area. |
| |
'Black' runs are limited but some of the 'reds' are 'meaty' and the off-piste is awesome! |
| |
Better quality telemark ski hire than most Alpine resorts! |
| |
5 x half days skiing (out of 6 days) telemark and ski instruction with plenty of 'free' skiing. |
| |
Suitable for most ability levels though those skiing 'blue' pistes and above will be able to make the most of the ski area. |
| |
A unique skiing opportunity that will not disappoint! |
